(Laclede County) – There was a drowning in Laclede county Saturday afternoon after a Grovespring resident tried to cross a low water crossing in her vehicle.
53 year old Kristi Yates drown, after trying to cross a low water crossing at 1:05PM Saturday afternoon, exited her vehicle and attempted to swim to shore, but was unsuccessful according to the report by the Mo State Highway Patrol.

This was Troop I’s first water fatality of 2020.
