Drugs Seized, Two Arrested in West Plains

On February 19, 2025, at approximately 8:19 A.M., Deputy First Class Hambleton, Deputy First Class Millard and Corporal Thomas from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office executed a warrant on County Road 3010 in West Plains for Robert Lee Threlkeld, also known as “Deuce.” Threlkheld had an active warrant for Failure to Appear and Parole Violation.
Upon arrival at the residence, deputies made contact with Melvin Spencer, who informed them that Robert Threlkeld was sleeping upstairs. When deputies woke Mr. Threlkeld, he was informed of his arrest, to which he acknowledged awareness of the outstanding warrant against him.
 
During the arrest process drug paraphernalia were located, collected and tested positive for methamphetamine. A substance which tested positive for methamphetamine was also located.
 
While awaiting the arrival of additional deputies, a computer check on Melvin Spencer revealed that he had an active warrant from Cabool, MO.
 
Both Robert Threlkeld and Melvin Spencer were arrested based on their active warrants, and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center.
 
Additional charges from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office are pending, for Robert Threlkheld, for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
