Eminence, MO. – Last night, citizens of Shannon County were surprised by a pop-up tornado that was produced by the storm front passing through.
While no severe thunderstorm warnings or tornado watches were present at the time, a tornado is confirmed to have formed around 8pm, travelling 2.7 miles before dissipating.

A survey revealed the tornado touched down in a wooded area near County Road H-522 before travelling east, damaging a barn and uprooting trees around Highways H and NN. The final location of the tornado is stated to have been in near County Road NN-526.
