Eight Arrested in Ava Drug Busts on Feb. 27

Ava, Mo. – In the early morning hours of February 27, 2022, the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force (MJTF), composed of Law Enforcement from Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Ozark County Sheriff’s Office and the Ava Police Department, served two high-risk narcotics search warrants in Douglas County.

 
The first search warrant was served in Western Douglas County at the Larry Day residence on W. 14 Highway where Officers seized over 4 pounds of marijuana and several bags of methamphetamine divided for sale and delivery. As a result, four subjects were arrested and transported to the Douglas County jail pending formal charges.
 
Larry Day (DCSO)
Larry Day, age 68 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for two counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance, a Class C Felony. Bond set at $50,000.00 CASH ONLY with Bond Conditions of CPS with twice a week testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. GPS monitor. House Arrest. No contact with co-arrestees.
David Young (DCSO)
David Young, age 36 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $50,000.00 CASH ONLY with Bond Conditions of CPS with twice a week testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. House arrest.
Phillip Holliday (DCSO)
Phillip Holliday, age 47 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $25,000.00 CASH ONLY with Bond Conditions of CPS with twice a week testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. No contact with co-arrestees. House arrest.
Savannah Beasley (DCSO)
Savannah Beasley, age 35 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $1,500.00 CASH Bond with Bond Conditions of CPS with twice a week testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. House arrest.
Jonathan Richardson (DCSO)
A vehicle was observed leaving the Day residence as Law Enforcement Officers were conducting surveillance and a traffic stop was made on the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of Methamphetamine and the arrest of Jonathan Richardson, age 39 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $50,000.00 CASH ONLY with Bond Conditions of out of state multiple priors. GPS monitor before release. CPS supervision with testing twice a week. No illegal substances including marijuana. House arrest.
 
The MJTF later served a search warrant at Maple Lane #38 in the city limits of Ava, MO where several grams of marijuana were seized as well as methamphetamine. Three subjects were arrested and transported to the Douglas County jail on pending formal charges. This search warrant was connected to the Larry Day search warrant.
 
Christina Medlin (DCSO)
Christina Medlin, age 35 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $5,000.00 CASH bond with Bond Conditions of CPS supervision with twice a week drug testing. No illegal drugs including marijuana. No contact with minor children until Division of Childrens Services approves as she admitted giving them marijuana. House Arrest.
Jennifer Johnson (DCSO)
Jennifer Johnson, age 52 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $10,000.00 CASH ONLY with Bond Conditions of CPS with two times a week supervision. No illegal drugs including marijuana. House arrest unless proof of verified employment and hours.
Lyndon Ludwig (DCSO)
Lyndon Ludwig, age 42 of Ava, MO. A warrant was issued for Possession of Controlled Substance – Meth, a Class D Felony. Bond set at $10,000.00 CASH ONLY with Bond Conditions of CPS supervision with twice a week testing. No illegal substances including marijuana. House arrest.
 
All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
