Ellington Driver Receives Felony Charge After Injury in Crash

Ellington, MO. – An Ellington driver has been injured and has received a felony charge of Driving While Intoxicated after his vehicle overturned on an unmarked road.

Trooper C.C. McCoy was the investigator of this April 2nd accident. Time of the accident was 2:45pm, and happened near County Road 422, 15 miles East of Ellington.

James Buxton, 44 of Ellington, was the intoxicated driver of a Chevy Silverado. According to the report, he was travelling down an unmarked road when it gave way and caused the vehicle to overturn. Buxton was not wearing his safety device and was transported to St. Louis for treatment of his moderate injuries.

His arrest charges include Felony DWI – Aggravated Offender, Driving While Revoked, No Insurance, No Seat Belt, and Failure to Signal.
