WEST PLAINS, MO – Ozarks Healthcare is excited to welcome Emily Brown, family nurse practitioner (FNP), to its Heart and Lung Center team. An Arkansas native, Brown brings over six years of nursing experience, including four years as a nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology at Baxter Health in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Brown’s passion for healthcare was sparked during her teenage years in Calico Rock, Arkansas, when her uncle’s journey through heart transplants showed her the profound impact nurses have on patients’ lives.
“I saw the difference a nurse could make and how they could improve lives,” Brown shared. “That’s when I knew I wanted to pursue this career.”
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Brown gained critical care experience in roles ranging from critical care nurse to advanced practice provider.
“The ICU prepared me to handle complex situations and helped lay a strong foundation for my career,” she said.
Brown was drawn to Ozarks Healthcare by its supportive environment and focus on professional growth.
“I’ve heard great things about Ozarks Healthcare’s work culture and opportunities for advancement,” she said. “This is a place where I can continue to grow as a provider and make a positive impact.”
Brown is accepting new patients. For more information about Ozarks Healthcare’s heart care services, visit https://www.ozarkshealthcare.com/services/heart-care/ or call 417-257-5950.
