West Plains, MO. – An Eminence man was airlifted from the scene of a Monday afternoon crash in Howell County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 12:07 p.m. on US 160, three miles east of West Plains.
A westbound Chevy Malibu driven by Joel Brown, age 27 of Eminence, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Brown had not been wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
