Evening Tornadoes Leave a Path of Destruction Through Missouri and Arkansas

On Friday night a series of storms ripped through the Ozarks causing mass destruction and claimed the lives of 11 Missouri residents as of this morning.  In a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol there were 19 reported tornadoes that impacted up to 25 counties in the state.  These are preliminary reports and are to be verified by the State Emergency Management Agency.  According to the report three Ozark County residents, one Butler County resident, six from Wayne County and one from Jefferson County lost their lives due to the storms.  Many of these same storms ripped through Arkansas as well with Governor Huckabee declaring a state of emergency leaving three dead in Independence County and at least 29 injured across the state.
