Mansfield, MO. – An accident that occurred on Highway 5, two miles South of Mansfield, has claimed the life of a man from Birch Tree, MO.
The driver of a 2019 Ford F350, identified as Dalton Sole Parnosky, 25 of Buffalo, MO, was travelling Northbound on Highway 5, when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 1990 Ford F250 head-on.
The driver of the F250 was Norvil Lakey, 84 of Birchtree, who sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident. He was pronounced deceased at Mercy Ambulance Bay in Mansfield by Wright County Coroner Ben Hurtt.
Parnosky was charged after the crash with Driving While Intoxicated, Causing the Death of Another Person, Careless and Imprudent Driving, and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.
This accident was investigated by Trooper T.L. Brown of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
