Motorists on Highway 63 will now see flashing yellow caution lights entering West Plains on both sides of the 63 Bypass. One is in the southbound lane before the Highway 63/CC Highway intersection and the other in the northbound lane at the Highway 63/Business 63 intersection.
The City of West Plains has been working with MODOT to address citizen concerns about traffic on Highway 63. The goal of the flashing yellow lights is to warn motorists of upcoming signalized intersections and hopefully raise awareness of a need to be prepared to stop.
