Former Deputy Goes Before Judge on Monday, July 18 for Child Molestation & Rape

West Plains, MO. – A former Howell County Deputy and School Resource Officer will go before the court on Monday, July 18 for multiple charges involving the sexual assault of a child. 

Rob Pilkington was originally arrested in November 2021 for multiple charges involving the sexual assault of a minor. Pilkington had been indicted by a grand jury with one count of statutory sodomy with a person less than 14 years of age in January of this year. The case was then moved from Howell County to Butler County. Following a not guilty plea by Pilkington in May, the case had been dropped by the prosecution.

Earlier last month, additional evidence was uncovered and a grand jury indicted Pilkington on two counts of Child Molestation in the 3rd Degree, four counts of Statutory Rape of a person less than 14 years of age – 1st Degree, six counts of Statutory Sodomy with a person less than 14 years of age, and one count of Use of Child in Sexual Performance. 

Pilkington will stand before the honorable Judge Steven Privette at the Howell County Courthouse on Monday, July 18 at 1 p.m.
