Investigation into Nash began in late November after two local teenage girls informed a mandated reporter of being sexually abused by the suspect. The children were interviewed by an investigator with Children’s Division where it was found the girls were the adopted daughters of Nash and they had reported multiple instances of abuse over multiple years, one involving Nash recording one of the girls in the shower with his cell phone and accusing the suspect of getting into their beds at night to touch them.

In interviews with investigators, the suspect said he was asleep when the abuse happened. When questioned about the video, Nash said he produced it but never watched it.
