West Plains, Mo. – The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will be holding four events during the month of February 2023.

The first is The Power of Pop-Up Shops – Webinar that will be held on February 6 from 1 to 2 p.m. and is free to join but advance registration is required.
The pop-up shop gives start-ups, side-gig entrepreneurs, and existing businesses a place to test markets, build a customer base and increase revenue. Pop-ups are temporary stores, often in vacant storefronts and at events, that provide an important business development steppingstone.
The second to be held is the monthly Smart Start: Developing a Successful Business and will be held on Friday, February 10 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Just like the Webinar, this workshop is free and registration is required.
The signature event for the month of February 2023 is the third event, Launch U 2023. Launch U 2023 is an eight-week course for aspiring and early-stage business owners. The class start date is on Saturday, February 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for the class is $225 to register.
The eight week course will teach you business goals, help you craft and pitch your business concept, do research on competition, and much more. This event is sponsored by the Howell County Commission.
The final event for February will be Lunch and Learn: Credit Building for Businesses and will be held on the Wednesday, Feb. 22. Cost is $15 and the registration deadline is Feb. 17 at 8 a.m. This event is sponsored by Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative.
In this Lunch & Learn session, small businesses will learn about strategies and tools for building good credit histories, and making their way to bank financing. The presentation will cover methods of managing credit that move scores to the good while also addressing any old bad debt. It will also introduce microenterprise financing tools for building good, bankable credit over time.
