Four people were injured Tuesday evening in a three‑vehicle collision on MO‑17, three miles north of Bucyrus.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 6:25 p.m. on May 13, 2026, when a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by a 44‑year‑old Bucyrus woman, attempted to make a left turn. A 2022 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 39‑year‑old man from Success, struck the turning vehicle. The Malibu then crossed the centerline and collided with a 2014 Hyundai Tucson traveling southbound.
The Malibu sustained total damage and was towed by Parish Wrecker Service of Houston. The Dodge Ram and Hyundai Tucson both received moderate damage and were towed by county‑requested services.
A 12‑year‑old male passenger in the Malibu suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The Malibu’s driver received minor injuries and was also transported for treatment.
The drivers of the Dodge Ram and Hyundai Tucson — a 44‑year‑old woman from Bucyrus and a 51‑year‑old woman from Cabool — both sustained minor injuries and were transported to the same hospital.
