Four Pedestrians Injured, Three Vehicles Damaged in Texas County

Cabool, MO. – Four pedestrians were injured in a three-vehicle accident on Saturday, September 30th.

This accident occurred at the intersection of Cedar and Frisco Streets in Cabool. At around 10:08am, Leroy Hamilton, 85 of Cabool, accelerated suddenly while travelling Eastbound while driving a Ford F150. The Ford struck four pedestrians: Elijah Morrison, 18 of Bois D’Arc, Trenton Polm, 30 and James Brown, 69, both of Cabool, and Laurence Wiley, a 67-year-old Willow Springs resident. Their injuries range from minor to moderate.

Additionally, Hamilton’s Ford struck a second Ford F150 and a Hinobox truck before coming to rest. Hamilton himself is not listed as having an injury, but is listed among the injured. Two of the injured were taken to TCMH in Houston, while James Brown was taken to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

Investigation on this crash was performed by Trooper J.L. Sentman, and assisted by Trooper N.B. Poynter, both of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G. Additionally, the Cabool Police and Fire Departments worked the scene.
