Matthews, MO. – One man from Doniphan and another from Poplar Bluff were injured yesterday when they were involved in an accident.
This took place on Interstate 55 near Matthews, when the dump bed of the freightliner the 20-year-old Poplar Bluff resident was operating struck an overpass.

The 65-year-old Doniphan resident sustained the heavier injuries, classified as moderate, and was taken to St. Francis in Cap Girardeau for further treatment.
The crash took place at 6:35pm, and the vehicle was totaled.
