Hartville, MO. – A 1-vehicle accident occurred yesterday at roughly 3:00 PM.
The accident involved a Freightliner Tractor Truck traveling Northbound on MO Highway 5, 3 miles North of Hartville. The driver was Steven Thorburn, 58 of Thornfield.

The accident occurred as Thorburn attempted to slow down on a curve, and began to slide, whereupon his trailer shifted left and overturned, pulling the Freightliner off the left side of the roadway.
Thorburn was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of his moderate injuries.
This accident was investigated by Trooper T.L. Sullivan of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
