“Frequent Flier” Attempts to Flee from Police, Crashes and Gets Arrested

West Plains, MO. – Repeat felon Rain Collins was apprehended once again within the Howell County area after attempting to flee from law enforcement.

Earlier this week, on September 3rd, Deputy Millard with the Howell County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle found with an expired tag, damage to the windshield, and a non-functioning brake light. The vehicle then attempted to break away by going through the yard of a residence, and a chase was initiated.

The chase went through multiple county roads and State Route BB before the driver, identified as Rain Collins, got their vehicle stuck as it went through a barbed wire fence. Collins then tried to flee on foot but was arrested not long after.

A .22 caliber rifle was also found in the vehicle, mean Collins was arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony.
