West Plains, MO. – A male from West Plains has been arrested by the Howell County Sheriff’s Office after attempting to steal diesel fuel from a business in West Plains.
On October 11th, Howell County Deputies Foster and Pauly responded to a call received after 10pm of a suspicious individual. Upon arrival to the scene of Pace Construction on Highway 160, deputies located a black Dodge on the property near company owned vehicles, as well as a male nearby.
Also on location near the male, identified as Jared Simpson of West Plains, was a 5 gallon gas tank, a yellow hose, and spilled diesel fuel on the ground. The fuel cap on the Pace Construction truck was also removed.
Simpson was arrested for stealing, and is set to be in court on December 5th for this charge.
