Cherokee Village, AR. – A pair of individuals from Fulton County have been arrested following the investigation of suspected child abuse.
This started on June 24th, as officers with the Cherokee Police Department responded to the White River Medical Center due to reports of an injured child less than 12 years of age with injuries consistent with abuse. On arrival, the officers spoke with the mother of the juvenile, and the injured juvenile themselves, noting their injuries.
Investigations and interviews with the victim revealed that the juvenile’s father and stepmother, identified as Tyler Jones, 28, and Saibrah Himschoot, 27, had both taken part in situations of abuse, which included various acts of physical violence.
Both individuals have been arrested with Felony charges including 2nd Degree Domestic Battery and Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member, and one misdemeanor charge of 2nd Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Both were taken into custody on $10,000 bond each.
