Fulton County Man Arrested After Accident for Resisting Arrest & More

Salem, AR. – A man from Fulton County is facing one felony and two misdemeanor charges after getting into an accident on February 19th.

According to the Probable Cause statement, this began when deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Squirrel Hill Road, Southeast of Salem, AR. The 911 caller reported a man cursing at him from the crash.

Upon arrival, no one was present. After a search, deputies located Chad Fry and a female passenger of the vehicle from the accident hiding 20 yards away in the brush. Fry then became verbally aggressive and stated he had a knife in his back pocket. As he began to reach for it, law enforcement began to apprehend him, causing a brief altercation.

Fry was taken into custody and was reported to have continued his aggressive stance by assaulting jail staff. Fry was asked to submit to a chemical test and refused.

Fry is facing a Class D Felony of Battery, a Class A Misdemeanor of Resisting Arrest, and a Class C Misdemeanor of Disorderly Conduct.
