A community fundraiser is set for Saturday, October 3rd, to support Mountain Grove’s Special Olympics team as they prepare for upcoming state competitions. The event will run from noon to 3 p.m. at the old high school gym on North Main.
Organizers say the fundraiser is designed as a family‑friendly afternoon, featuring a bounce house with $10 armbands for unlimited play, face painting, a bubble and karaoke area, and a silent auction with items donated to benefit local athletes. Meals will be provided free for anyone 18 and younger, while adults can purchase a plate for $10.
All proceeds will help cover travel costs for the team’s trips to state events. Community members are encouraged to come out, enjoy the activities, and support local Special Olympics athletes.
