Gainesville Woman Facing Criminal Charges Due to April Crash

Gainesville, MO. – A woman is now looking at felony charges as a result of a crash that took place in April.

The probable cause statement outlines that on April 24th, law enforcement responded to a crash in Ozark County where serious injuries were reported. The driver, Destiny Lynn Faye Bearden, a Gainesville resident born in 1995 was taken to Cox Hospital in Springfield in a ground ambulance, while her juvenile passenger was air lifted to the same location due to the severity of their injuries. The juvenile had been ejected as a result of not being in a booster seat, with the overturning vehicle causing further injury.

Hours after the incident, Bearden was found to have symptoms of obvious intoxication.

Bearden now faces two felonies, 1st degree endagering the welfare of a child, and felony DWI involving a serious physical injury. She also is now looking at two misdemeanor charges and one infraction related to the crash.
