Gassville House Explosion Leads to Total Loss, But No Injuries Were Reported

Gassville, AR. – A home in Gassville, AR. was destroyed on the morning of Wednesday, October 18th, when an explosion occurred and crippled the structure.

The call was received by the local fire department at 9:33 a.m., and on response, firefighters were welcomed with a scene of resolved destruction. An investigation led to the concept that the explosion was likely caused when a contractor working nearby pulled a copper gas line that detached from the house. Then, as the heater turned on, the explosion occurred.

A fire did happen at the same time but went out before emergency services responded. No human resident was home at the time, but a pair of dogs were inside. One dog was found; the other fled the scene and has yet to be recovered.

Reports state the house and most of the items inside were a total loss.
