A Gatewood woman was injured Friday afternoon in a single‑vehicle crash east of Thayer. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at 2:50 p.m. on Missouri Route 142, about 25 miles east of Thayer, when a westbound 2015 Dodge Durango began skidding, ran off the roadway, and struck both a fence and a tree.
Troopers say the driver, a 23‑year‑old woman from Gatewood, was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. She sustained minor injuries and was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.
