Google’s New Data Center Moving To Kansas City

Missouri – Governor Mike Parsons has announced that Google has decided to locate a new center in Kansas City, Mo. This will be the first Google data center in Missouri and will support up to 1,300 jobs. Google also announced that it will expand a trade career development program and contribute $100,000 to the North Kansas City School District’s STEM center. 

The data center is going to be located in Kansas City’s Hunt Midwest Business Center. The data center will help power digital services such as Google Docs, Maps, Search, Gmail, and more. Ranger Power and D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments are partnering to give the new data center 400 megawatts of new, carbon-free energy to support its operations.
