Grand Jury Indictment Charges Willow Springs Man with Pattern of Endangering Children

West Plains, Mo. – The Willow Springs man who has been charged with abuse of his autistic daughter was the target of a Grand Jury Indictment last month. The results of the indictment led to the man, Kevin T. Mersman, age 44, to being arrested again and a modification of charges. 

Mersman is now facing four counts of 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child with Pattern of Activity, four counts of Abuse of a Child, three counts of 1st Degree Assault, and one count of 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. He was arrested again on September 28, 2022 with $250,000 bond, which he was released on two days later.

Mersman pled not guilty on September 29 and asked the court for a public defender. He is in court again today, October 3, for a council status hearing.
