Guilty Plea Issued by Texas County Man In Relation to 2021 Murder

Houston, MO. – A man from Texas County has recently pled guilty in court for his involvement in the death of a man in 2021.

The event originally took place in early June of 2021, when local law enforcement found 30-year-old Billy Hayes Jr. dead from multiple stab wounds at a home in the 300 block of Broadway in Houston, Missouri.

Adam Reams, 40, was taken into custody at the scene along with two others. Reams was reported to have had a history of violence in his past, and had a large laceration on his hand consistent with a knife wound. On the scene, a knife belonging to Reams was found, and was believed to be the murder weapon, and Reams was found with a large amount of blood on his person.

Reams has plead guilty in court on Monday, August 14, 2023, and he has been scheduled for sentencing on Tuesday, November 21st.
