Hallucinations and Calls to Police Lead to Drug Arrests in Douglas County

Squires, MO. – Multiple calls from a pair of people in Douglas County to local law enforcement have led to their arrest. This happened after many of the calls were about people hiding on the pair’s property when no one was present.

According to the probable cause affidavit on the case, this began on June 5th when Ronald Jenkins and Melanie Springer, both of the Squires area, reported suspicious individuals on their property. After a search, no one was found. These calls of suspicious individuals continued the next day, with the pair even showing pictures to investigating deputies that contained no image of people, despite claims.

During investigation, Jenkins admitted to having meth on the property, and a search led to the discovery of meth and two firearms, all of which were confiscated.

Both individuals are facing one felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two felony charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
