Hartville Man Arrested On Charges of Rape Against 14-Year-Old

Hartville, MO. – A Hartville resident was arrested by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office on September 4, 2024, after being accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. According to documents on the case, Randy Lee Liles Jr. is being charged with Rape in the Second Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, and Child Molestation in the Fourth Degree.

According to the probable cause affidavit provided by the Wright County Sheriff’s Department, the victim came forward on August 30, 2024, and made a written complaint against Randy Liles Jr. During an interview with the victim, the 14-year-old girl stated that she was with Randy on August 29, 2024. Randy had asked her if she wanted to see something and then allegedly took her to an old gym building. The victim stated that Liles had intimidated her into taking her clothes off and then proceeded to force himself upon her without her consent. The Victim was taken to the hospital for an examination where they found signs of forced sexual intercourse.

On September 3, 2024, deputies interviewed Liles who stated that he took the victim to the old gym to have sexual intercourse. He stated he did not have permission to enter the old gym building. Liles then stated that he knew the victim was 14 years of age. Deputies wanted it noted that Liles is 4 years, 10 months, and 5 days older than the victim. Further into the interview, Liles admitted that the victim had asked him to stop and that he had not. 

Randy Liles Jr. is being held on a cash bond of $25,000. The case was investigated by Detective Sergeant Akers of Wright County.
