HARTVILLE, Mo. — A Hartville man was arrested July 10 following a Douglas County grand jury indictment on multiple felony charges.
John Crossland, 53, was indicted on charges of rape, first degree kidnapping, first degree burglary, second degree assault and first degree sexual misconduct.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the indictment followed an investigation conducted by Detective Nathan Long.
Crossland is being held without bond.
All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
