A Hartville woman was injured in a two‑vehicle crash Friday afternoon on Missouri Route 5. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at 12:46 p.m. at the 9530 block of MO‑5, when a northbound 2014 Jeep Wrangler struck the rear of a 2014 Ford Focus that had stopped to make a left turn.
Both vehicles sustained minor to moderate damage and were driven from the scene. The drivers—two adult women from Hartville and Niangua—were wearing safety devices.
The driver of the Jeep, a 69‑year‑old woman from Hartville, suffered minor injuries and was transported by private party for medical treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Troopers say the collision occurred when the Jeep failed to stop and struck the back of the Ford as it waited to turn.
