A man struck and killed by a train yesterday in West Plains has been identified by investigators. 49-year-old Charles Allen Lightfoot, Jr. of West Plains was killed near State Route ZZ and County Road 8240. Few details have been released about the incident. The victim’s identity had not been previously released while the Howell County Sheriff’s Office attempted to contact next of kin.
