West Plains, MO. – The Heart of the Ozarks Fair will be held Tuesday, June 3 through Saturday, June 8 at the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds in West Plains, MO. The fair is a family fun event that features entertainment, carnival rides, food vendors, livestock, agriculture, and fine arts shows.
On Monday, June 3, the show starts at 8:00 a.m. with the Junior Market Steer, Goat, Lamb, and Swine Show. Home Economics, Fine Arts, Photography, and Fruit and Vegetables will all be judged throughout the day. The events on Tuesday include, the Replacement Nanny, Gilt and Ewe Shows at 10:00 a.m., Junior Flower Show Judging at 1:00 p.m., Livestock Auction at 6:00 p.m., and the carnival from 6 to 11 p.m. Carnival rides will be $1.00 each. Monday and Tuesday admission is free.
On Wednesday, June 5, there will be a gospel concert featuring the Punches Family and 4Calvary in the Expo Building at 6 p.m. Gate admission is $5.00.
On Thursday, June 6, events will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Open Flower Show Judging. There will be a motocross race and an exhibit from Hwy 65 MX at 6:00 p.m. at the grandstands.
On Friday, June 7, events begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Open Cattle Show and Bucket Calf Show. At 7:30 p.m. the SWTTPA will have a truck pull at the grandstands.
On the final day of the fair, the events begin with the Rabbit and Poultry Show at 9:00 p.m. The Harper and Expo Buildings will open at 3:00 p.m. this day. The demolition derby will be at the grandstands beginning at 7:00 p.m. and is brought to you by Southern Crunch Promotions.
The carnival will be open to the public from 6 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for Armband Nights. Armbands are $25 and are available for purchase at the carnival ticket booths. The Harper and Expo Buildings will be open to the public from 5 to 9 p.m. every day. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for all children under six years of age on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
