Heat Advisory and Possible Severe Thunderstorms

The National Weather Service is calling for the weather to be dangerously hot and severe thunderstorms to be a possibility.

Firstly, a heat advisory is in effect from 11am today until 8pm. Areas of the highest levels of heat danger exist as you go further west. However, even our eastern part of the listening area puts us in dangerous levels of heat index values. Tomorrow and Thursday, these heat index values are supposed to shift, with the highest danger values existing within the southern and eastern sections of our broadcast range.
