West Plains, MO. – The Avenue Theatre is hosting a Raise The Roof Fundraiser to help fix repairs that are needed to their historic building. This part of the fundraiser is called the jail and bail.
On August 17, 2024, some of our leading community members will be arrested and it will be up to the rest of us to bail them out. The minimum bail for each individual to be released is $1,000. One individual arrested is Chris Sterner, the fire chief at the West Plains Fire Department, and he will be at the Avenue Theatre on August 17 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Another individual is Matt Roberts, candidate for Howell County Sheriff, he will be there on the same day from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nona will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Finally, Mayor Mike Topliff will be held in jail from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Show up and help our community members get free of jail! If you want to put someone in jail just “turn in” willing family members, coworkers, or even yourself to be held in jail and see who will show up to bail you out of jail.
