West Plains, MO. – A local branch of a charity that gives beds to children who don’t have them will have their first bed build day this Saturday. Sleep In Heavenly Peace – West Plains Chapter will hold its first Bed Build at 8:30 a.m. on September 9, 2023.
Chapter President David Ball spoke with News Team 7 on their upcoming Build Day:
Sleep In Heavenly Peace makes sturdy wooden beds, either single twin or twin bunk beds, for children ages 3 to 17. Build Day will consist of assembling the beds. After the beds are assembled, they will be given to the families of children who have applied. The organization also provides sheets, blankets, pillows, and mattresses for the beds. Organization members will deliver and assemble the beds.
Those unable to attend the build day event but would still like to help can sponsor a complete bed for $250.
If you would like to donate to Sleep In Heavenly Peace or volunteer with its Build Day, contact David Ball at 417-274-1469 or by email David.Ball@shpbeds.org.
