High Heat Today Leads to Possible Flooding Tonight, says NWS

A heat advisory for Missouri has been put into effect until this evening through portions of the listening area, and will lead into potentially severe weather conditions and flooding tonight. 

This information comes from the NWS, who say that the risk of severe weather currently lies at a 2/5 risk. Southeastern sections of our listening area lie in the greatest chance of severity.

Flooding potential remains low, but still present under the same regional conditions.

Before that, however, heat index values are expected to peak from 105 to 110 across Ozark County and all of our Arkansas listening area, prompting a heat advisory.
