On Thursday January 16, Officers with the West Plains Police Department responded to St. Louis Street and Myrtle Street for a report of a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a West Plains R-VII School District School Bus. Upon officers arriving on scene, officers were informed the driver of the motorcycle had fled the scene.
The School bus was occupied by the bus driver and six West Plains Elementary School students. No injuries were reported to any of the students or the bus driver at the time of the incident.
During the crash investigation, it was learned the motorcycle had been reported stolen to the West Plains Police Department in March of 2019.
