Homicide in West Plains, Two in Custody

West Plains, MO. – Last night at roughly 10:53, the West Plains Police responded to a call where shots had been fired around 14-Junction Truck Stop, the gas station leading north out of town on highway 63.

When police arrived, they found a man in his thirties with several gunshot wounds across his body including his torso, legs, and more. Witnesses at the scene said they had seen the two people involved in this criminal activity drive south on Highway 63 in a red Chevy Avalanche. Thanks to witness testimony, the two were later found at a residence in West Plains and were apprehended.

The victim was transported to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment of his injuries, which proved to be fatal. Identities of all involved are currently being withheld while police notify next-of-kin and continue their investigation.
