Houston DWI Crash Injures Yukon Woman

Houston, MO. – A Houston woman is recovering from injuries sustained after crashing into a tree late Wednesday.

This crash took place at 7:35pm on Highway 17, five miles south of Houston, says the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A Pontiac Vibe was being driven Southbound when the driver, a 55-year-old Yukon woman, is said to have ran off the road, striking a tree. The vehicle was totaled in the collision.

The driver was not wearing a safety device and sustained moderate injuries, leading to her transport to TCMH in Houston for treatment.

The driver was identified as Carmon Jones, and was found to be intoxicated, which has led to criminal charges. Charges include DWI, Failure to Maintain Right Half of the Roadway Resulting in an Accident, No Insurance, and No Seat Belt.
