The Houston Club held their 6th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Fish Fry last week. Law Enforcement from the Texas County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol Region G, Houston Police Department, Cabool Police Department and Licking Police Department were at the annual event and received certificates for their dedication and service for Texas County.
Students from Houston Head Start were at the program and recited the Pledge of Allegiance to kick off the festivities. They also designed their own thank you cards to pass out to each member of law enforcement.
“It is truly and honor for the Lions Club to show our appreciation to the men and women of law enforcement. They put their lives on the line daily to protect and serve our communities,” stated Lions Club President Bennie Cook.
