Houston Man Arrested for Stealing Farm Equipment

Houston, MO. – The Texas County Sheriff’s Office said recently that a man from Houston is facing several felony charges after trying to sell stolen equipment through Facebook.

The stolen goods were reported on July 17th, along with the victim stating he had already seen a Facebook listing showing the stolen items. Deputies arranged a meeting with the lister, posing as a buyer.

The man who showed up to the meeting was Shaun Cross, who was then arrested. Cross was found with a large amount of cash and a bill of sale with his fake Facebook profile name on it. Other pieces of stolen equipment that were sold on the marketplace were also found thereafter.

Cross is facing two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, and one count of Attempting to Receive Stolen Property. Additional charges are expected.

He is being held in the Texas County Jail, pending a $10,000 bond.
