A Houston man was taken into custody after police say he failed to register as a sex offender as required under Missouri law. According to a probable cause statement filed by the Houston Police Department, officers located Adam Corbine at a church on the 1000 block of Indian Creek Trail on September 23.
Officer L.C. Endress wrote that Corbine had not provided a valid address to the Texas County Sheriff’s Office, despite being legally required to register. Corbine is currently on probation and parole for statutory sodomy in the first degree and child molestation in the first degree.
Corbine told the officer he had been homeless and planned to register the next day. A church associate reported he had been staying at the church during the day for about a week and sleeping elsewhere at night.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Texas County Jail charged with Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, a Class E felony under RSMo 589.425. His bond is $2000.
