Howell Co. reports 11th COVID-19 death, 54 new cases

Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 54 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 979. The county also reports its 11th COVID-19 death.

Currently, there are 192 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 192, 18 are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 46 reside in West Plains, one live in Mountain View, three live in Willow Springs, one lives in Koshkonong and three live in Caulfield.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine.  Of the new 54 cases; there are 38 cases that are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 16 cases that have been linked to known cases.
