Howell Co. reports 38 new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 38 cases of COVID-19  identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 679.

Currently, there are 170 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 170, twelve individuals are currently hospitalized. Of the new cases; 28 reside in West Plains, two live in Mountain View, two live in Willow Springs, four live in Pomona, one lives in Caulfield and one lives in Peace Valley.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Of the newly identified 38 cases; 20 are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 18 cases have been linked to known cases.
