The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 55 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 925. Currently, there are 156 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 156, 18 are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. The department is also reporting its 10th COVID-19 death.
Of the new cases; 41 reside in West Plains, seven live in Mountain View, three live in Willow Springs, one lives in Koshkonong and three live in Pottersville. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine.
Of the new 55 cases; 33 are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 22 cases have been linked to known cases.
