Howell Co. reports eight new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports that an additional eight cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to two hundred and ten.
Currently, there are thirty-one known active cases in the county. Of the thirty-one cases, none are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. All eight of the new cases reside in the West Plains area. Each case is currently isolating under public health guidance.
The investigation into these cases indicates that five are deemed to be the result of community spread, or the source of infection is unknown. One has been linked back to a known case and two are believed to be travel related. There has been no exposures to the general public reported with these cases.
