Howell Co. reports two additional COVID-19 deaths, 32 new cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 32 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year-to-date total number of cases to 830. According to the department’s ‘Numbers Report,’ two additional Howell County residents have died. The year-to-date number of COVID-19 deaths in the county is eight.

Currently, there are 168 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 168, 15 are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

Of the new cases; 21 reside in West Plains, 5 live in Mountain View and 6 live in Willow Springs. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine.

Of the new 32 cases; 13 cases that are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 19 cases that have been linked to known cases.
