Howell Co. reports two new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 2 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county.  This brings the year to date total number of cases to 153.  Currently, there are 15 known active cases in the county.

Of the 15 cases, 3 are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Both of the new cases identified reside in the West Plains area. Both cases are currently isolating under public health guidance. Both of the cases are considered community spread, or the source of exposure cannot be identified. Significant contacts to these cases have been notified by the health department.

If you were at this location at the date and time above you are at very LOW risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms.  There is no need to self-quarantine or isolate unless you have symptoms develop.

Anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 should contact their health care provider regarding testing and take all necessary precautions to avoid exposing others.
